SteelCraft Garden Grove’s Summer Culture Series has officially come to a close! THANK YOU all who attended and participated in our series. We owe these events to the support of our surrounding communities, United Way OC, the Garden Grove Chamber of Commerce and the guests who came out to show their love. We had a blast at our last event on September 18th, celebrating Hispanic/Latinx culture through traditional performances, creative makers and community speakers. Keep reading to get catch a glimpse of the fun!

Live Community Performances:

Nonprofit organization, Relámpago del Cielo Grupo Folklorico (above) dazzled with their traditional Mexican dances.

Relámpago del Cielo Grupo Folklorico (left) had many segments to their performances, including these two ladies on the left. Award-winning Latin dance company, JD Dance Co. (right), wowed with not only their moves, but also their many quick outfit changes.

Talented mariachi group, Mariachi Folklore (above), blew us away with their impressive vocalists and instrumentalists.

High energy turntablist, DJ E-Rex (above) got our heads bobbing to his catchy selection of tunes.

Orange County favorite, Ernando and the Nandos (above), gave us their best R&B, Pop and Funk covers to end the night.

Maker’s Market:

Fuerza Beauty (above) sold plant-based personal care products that celebrate the cultural roots of these lovely ladies pictured.

Latina-owned jewelry and clothing boutique, Celestial (left), was beautifully displayed for the makers market shoppers. Sweet Tooth Desserts (right) treated us with some of their tasty caramel apples.

Miau (above) sold comfy closet staples and activewear that flew off the shelves throughout the festival.

Terrasage Home (above) recently joined the SteelCraft Long Beach vendor lineup and happily represented at the Garden Grove culture celebration with this irresistible collection of potted plants.

But that’s not all! More beloved makers included:

  • Arte de la Tierra | Unique jewelry, art and rings
  • Mi Época De Oro | Versatile accessory pieces
  • Made by LA Inc. | Ethically made clothing by LA artisans

Kids Craft Booth:

Coupe’s & Pigment blessed us once again with their painting kits, but this time with canvases inspired by Hispanic/Latinx culture.
