SteelCraft Garden Grove’s Summer Culture Series isn’t over yet!

Another SteelCraft Garden Grove Summer Culture Series celebration in the books! We want to thank not only all who attended, but also those who participated in the second event of our three-part series. The Black culture event on Saturday, August 21st featured a talented mix of makers and entertainers. Read on to take a walk down memory lane!

Live Community Performances:

Eddie Drayton & the Diasco Drummers (left) started the party with a killer African drum show, followed by a live lesson for the little ones in the audience. Master musician, Brother Yusef (right), had us tapping our feet to his bluesy tunes.

 

Winner of The Bachelor Presents: Listen to Your Heart, Christopher Watson, melted our hearts with his smooth vocals.

 

Reggae band, Upstream, got the crowd dancing the night away to end the night.

 

Maker’s Market:

Known for selling stylish kid’s & women’s clothing, Elisamama, had a beautiful display at the celebration.

 

CLAY by Kimberleigh (left), functional and decorative pottery company, featured lovely handmade pieces. KellyMade (right) provided an assortment of beautifully crafted resin jewelry.

 

Tamra Copper LA , showed off her high-quality copper goods, including intricately engraved water bottles.

Kids Craft Booth:

Kiddos had the opportunity flex their creative muscles during the event by painting at the craft booth.

 

Coupe’s & Pigments (above) provided some adorable painting kits inspired by Black culture.
