Location: Long Beach, CA 90802 (Bixby Knolls)
Compensation: $42,000-45,000 Annually

STORE MANAGER JOB DESCRIPTION
SteelCraft is seeking a reliable, dynamic, and energetic Store Manager who has a genuine love of hospitality. This is a great opportunity for a career-minded person who would enjoy working in a fun and fast-paced environment! The Store Manager’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, running daily operations of SteelCraft, providing exemplary customer service, and executing all company standards and processes. The Store Manager will oversee and contribute to the planning, organization, and training necessary to achieve SteelCraft’s objectives in sales, costs, employee retention, communication, and most importantly, guest service. The Store Manager is the face of SteelCraft and is someone who understands the nuances of effective communication, demonstrates the ability to deliver the SteelCraft story, and builds meaningful relationships with colleagues and clientele.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Provide management assistance to ensure the smooth operation during peak hours
- Act as point-of-contact for all SteelCraft Vendors and handle issues that arise
- Respond to website inquiries
- Provide information to guests regarding amenities including parking, restrooms, WiFi, hours of operation
- Provide additional oversight to ABC compliance guidelines
- Hire, train, and supervise front of house staff (day porters and security) in accordance with operating policies including cleaning and bussing of tables, parking control/enforcement of “No Parking” areas, and close up
- Manage proper inventory of facility supplies and staffing levels
- Establish exemplary standards of performance for the dining area
- Execute the general responsibilities necessary to minimize operating costs
- Ensure proper security procedures are in place and upheld
- Effectively communicate to cultivate rapport with guests, vendors, residential neighbors, LBPD, and staff
- Ensure a safe environment for staff and guests to reduce the risk of accident/injury
- Develop and execute various promotional SteelCraft events (sports viewing, live entertainment, vendor events)
- Forecast and determine resources and requirements for events
- Serve as on-site contact person during events to handle any unexpected changes, requests, or unusual circumstances that arise
- Conduct site tours of the facility showing prospective event clients
- Maintain excellent communication with Executive Management Team
- Produce annual report highlighting accomplishments
- Take initiative and try to solve problems
WHAT YOU NEED
- Minimum of 3-5 years of previous food service and restaurant supervisory experience
- Strong working knowledge of store operations, management principles including scheduling, cost control, continuous improvement, and inventory control policies
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to work varied hours, weekends and holidays
- Passion for growth and strong desire to succeed
- Excellent time management skills and punctuality
- Ability to prioritize and meet multiple project deadlines
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with a variety of personalities
- Organized, detailed and deadline-oriented
- Proficient in Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Valid driver’s license
