Rori’s Artisanal Creamery Joining SteelCraft Long Beach Family with Day of Free Scoops

LONG BEACH, Calif. (June 18, 2019)—Rori’s Artisanal Creamery is opening their sixth store at SteelCraft Long Beach, an outdoor urban eatery, currently home to Smog City Brewing, Steelhead Coffee, Rainbow Juices, Pig Pen Delicacy, Waffle Love, DeSano Pizzeria, and Tajima Ramen. This Saturday, June 22, 2019, the new Rori’s shop will offer free scoops to the community all day, 11AM to 10PM. Flavors like Cup O’ Joe Spinelli (espresso), Brown Sugar Banana, and Malted Milk Ball will soon be available daily out of its shipping container digs on Long Beach Blvd.
The secret to Rori’s Artisanal Creamery’s success is simple, “Organic dairy, local produce, no B.S.! The only way to make it pure is to make it pure.”
Rori Trovato founded Rori’s Artisanal Creamery in October 2011, but originally began making ice cream over twenty years ago. She fell in love with the craft as a little girl, churning ice cream every Sunday for family dinner with her grandmother. Nothing ever compared to that fresh, creamy texture and flavor.
Every ice cream flavor, including its ingredients, are made from scratch with organic and locally sourced ingredients.
As a food writer and stylist, Rori has traveled all over the world, exploring the globes cuisines and cultures. When Rori moved back to her roots in California, she settled down in Santa Barbara and recreated her take on her grandmother’s phenomenal homespun ice cream.
“When I first heard about SteelCraft, I raced down from Santa Barbara” said Rori. “I had been dying to open a shop in my hometown of Long Beach. SteelCraft was so my style, all the vendors at the top of their game and it was such a family-friendly cool vibe.”
Rori was a chef, food stylist, travel and food writer in NYC and taught the art of French cooking in the south of France. Her work has been featured in Travel and Leisure, Food and Wine, bon Appetit, Oprah, Martha Stewart Living, and House Beautiful and she has styled over one hundred cookbooks, as well as her own, Dishing with Style.
Rori added, “I have always wanted to bring organic, small batch, authentic ice cream to the table. I couldn’t be more thrilled to have Long Beach taste our bold, creamy flavors that make Rori’s the most badass ice cream in California! It’s such a thrill to be a part of SteelCraft and to be back home.”
Rori’s is actively involved in the communities they serve with frequent fundraising programs for nearby schools.
